Bladeless Wind Turbines

A New Hampshire research company recently obtained a patent on its bladeless wind turbine that is based on another patent that was issued to Nikola Tesla in 1913. The turbine has been christened as the Fuller Wind Turbine. It was developed by Solar Aero and it’s speciality is that it only has one rotating part that is know as the turbine drive shaft.

The entire machinery is assembled inside of a housing. Wind turbines have met with resistance from environmentalists because they kill bats and birds and are often noisy for nearby residents. The industry is trying to develop solutions for these problems by working with federal regulators, environmental groups and other interested parties.
