GE Exceeds Greenhouse Gas Intensity Reduction Goal

Last year, GE met it’s goal of reducing it’s greenhouse gas intensity by at least 30 percent. And, the company made progress in it’s efforts to reduce overall greenhouse gases and energy intensity. GE released their fifth annual Resetting Responsibilities report which reviews it’s corporate responsibility initiatives that are related to climate change and energy earlier this month.

In 2008, the company saw a reduction in greenhouse emissions of 13 percent, greenhouse gas intensity was reduced by 41 percent and the companies energy intensity was reduced by 37 percent. GE had specifically planned on reducing the greenhouse gas intensity by at least 30 percent by 2008.
