Green Research Campus Coming To The Silicon Valley
NASA is teaming up with Foothill-De Anza Community College and UC Santa Cruz to build a green research campus that will be located in Silicon Valley. The venture is the result of years of negotiations between private companies, academic institutions and the federal government.
The project is expected to begin some where betwen 2012 and 2014 and will be bringing many new jobs to the area. Both academic institutions plan to send students and faculty to the new facility to conduct research on various subjects including renewable technology and energy efficiency.
Several other universities such as Santa Clara University, San Jose State University and Carnegie Mellon University are considering joining the parthership as well.
