Intel Invests $20 Million In China’s Solar Future

Intel recently announced it’s decision to invest $20 million in a solar cell manufacturing company in China. The investment is economical tactic to help invigorate the renewable energy market and stimulate economic growth.

China relies on fuel for over two-thirds of the energy the country uses. The investment with Trony Solar Holdings Company can also help China in making the transition over to more sustainable supplies of energy. China now stands as the largest consumer and producer of coal in the world.

Intel’s investment will fund an increase in production of solar energy to 105 megawatts. Intel has already made investments in over 80 companies throughout Hong Kong and China. The new capital will increase both the development and research into sustainable energy.
