New Sustainability Standard May Be Ready Soon
The national standard sustainability standards are estimated to be finalized early next month. The guidelines were created to address the demands of consumers for more environmentally green products.
The new standards for office furniture manufacturers is expected to just be the start of even more standards being adopted by other manufacturers. The concern for the environment had many customers seeking greening products for their offices and homes.
A recent study has shown that Herman Miller has already reduced their hazardous waste materials by 91% and have reduced the amount of waste that ends up in landfills by 80%!
