Using recycled materials to make products requires less natural resources and energy that using virgin materials. Using recycle aluminum cans to manufacture items uses 95 percent less energy!
Producing new products from recycled materials also reduces water pollution, damage done to forests and other areas that are essential for wildlife. In 2000 alone, almost 33 million tons of carbon into the air was eliminated by recycling.
