Solar Technology Institute Opens in Arizona
With a growing reputation as being a leader in the research into solar technologies, the Solar Technology Institute just opened in Arizona.The announcement was made recently by Science Foundation Arizona, which also noted at least five other energy projects that they’re investing around $4 million in.
Arizona has already reaped the benefits from research into solar energy that has been done at the Arizona State University and the University of Arizona. This newly opened facility, will aide in developing new resources for solar energy and even help in commercializing the technologies.
Some of the investments that Science Foundation Arizona are involved in are for improving technologies for thin films, advancements in smart grid technologies, nanostructured films for photovoltaics and next generation photovoltaic systems for creating renewable energy.
