World Wide Coastal Clean Up Day is September 20th
September 20th is world wide pollution clean up day! It’s expected that over 400,000 volunteers from countries around the world will be joining together on that day with one goal in mind, ridding the world of pollution!
In the yearly event volunteers scan the worlds shorelines to clean up debris and trash to protect the oceans. Last years clean up netted an unbelievable 6 million pounds of garbage that would have eventually found it’s way into the ocean!
Volunteers are both young and old, ranging from children to seniors. The only requirement is that you have a desire to protect the seas aquatic life. If you’d like to join the clean up and do your part, you can sign up at OceanConservancy.org
